Jambo Rafikis!
We arrived safe and sound to Nairobi at around 9:30 last night. Thankfully, all of our bags made it (even with some crazy close flight connections). Our flights were very, very long but not terrible. Pam got a little queezy on the last flight coming into Nairobi, but she thinks it was from eating only plane food for 24 hours. Steve, our driver, was waiting with a huge smile when we walked through customs to claim our bags. It was so comforting to see someone there welcoming us and wanting us to be safe and well.
We came to the guesthouse, got into our rooms, and unpacked. It was around midnight before we all went to bed, but we are for the most part settled and comfortable.
Please keep Jenny in your prayers. She has been upset to her stomach this morning. Pam stayed at the guesthouse with her while the rest of us went to church. She is starting to feel better, but she is still really weak.
We went to church at Parklands Baptist, just right around the corner from where we are staying. It was a wonderful service, and Pastor Wachira (sp?) showed us the facilities after the service was over. We just got back to the guesthouse and plan to go to lunch then to an orphanage in Pipeline in about an hour or so. We are all needing sleep but so very excited to be here finally.
This is a much shorter trip than last year, so we are trying to get in as much as possible. Please pray we all get good sleep tonight so we can be ready to go tomorrow.
We miss all our family and friends back home very much! But like I said, this is a pretty short trip and we will be back home before you know it. Love you all! Talk to you soon :)

Faith overcomes all. As a Vietnam Veteran and friend of Laurens, I understand how a country totally different from our lifestyle can be exciting as well as shocking. My church in NC is keeping up with you on feedback, blog and with prayers for your safe and successful return. Ernie Lubiani
